Hello, welcome to my artist page – Time in Scale.

My name is Michael Schneider and I was born 1983 in Bad Berleburg, Germany.

Early on in school my favourite classes were already – History, Geography and Art.

Especially the military component about conquest and expansion of the former empires, reaching up into modern age, were interesting and exciting for me to learn about.

During my school time, I built a few model kits, and obtained my first fine mechanical and handworking skills.

After apprenticeship and marriage I re-entered the hobby, inspired by Francois Verlinden, Bob Letterman and Shepard Paine, who set new benchmarks with their professional kind of building models and dioramas.

I entered my first contest in 2012 in Mol, Belgium where I was able to get a silver medal right off of the bat for my exhibit.  Hooked on the feeling of winning, I now visit many National and International shows on a regular basis. More important than winning medals, has been winning over many new friends who also share the passion of painting and building models.

One of my personal highlights is the participation in the World Model Expo 2022, held in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The show takes place only every three years, each time at a different venue in the world.  There I was able to win a bronze medal in each of the three Master classes that I took part in.

Furthermore I have also painted so-called „Boxarts“ for various companies, a picture that shows the finished figure or bust on the packaging, which is a nice additional appreciation of my work.

The asking and begging from modelling friends and painters to start my own „Artist Workshop“ have led me to create ‘‘Time in Scale - Michael Schneider‘‘ in 2021, to present my work now to a wider audience.

Main focus of my work lies in topics around World War II and here mainly in Axis Forces, but not limited to them.

This page is part of a new and exciting project, showing my work to interested modellers and such who are looking to become one. In the case you have questions, wishes, suggestions or anything similar, please don't hesitate to contact me.

You also find me on Facebook, feel free to look there too.
